Surf Lessons Canggu, taught by the crew who actually surf here every day.

Canggu is one of the best places on the planet to learn to surf — long, forgiving beach-break waves on black volcanic sand, with spots for every level from Berawa and Nelayan to Echo Beach. From our base on Jl. Lkr. Nelayan, just steps from the line-up, our experienced local instructors run small-group, semi-private and private surf lessons every day in Canggu.
Every coach on our team grew up riding the black-sand breaks between Berawa and Echo Beach, so lessons stay small — never more than five or six students per instructor — with a board, rash guard and full attention included, whichever stretch of Canggu is firing that day.
2-hour sessions, board and rash guard already in the price.

Getting in the water in Canggu takes three quick steps.
Tell us your date, level and how many people are coming — a local coach replies fast and locks in your Canggu slot.
Depending on the swell and tide that day, we'll meet you at whichever Canggu sandbank is working best, gear already loaded.
Two hours on the black sand, patient coaching between sets — most first-timers are standing before the session ends.
Home-turf knowledge of every Canggu sandbank, tide and current.
Every instructor on the team rides Berawa, Nelayan and Echo Beach on their own days off, so booking a lesson gets you the same read on the sandbanks and tides they'd use for themselves.
Canggu's volcanic-sand shoreline produces soft, rolling white water that forgives a shaky pop-up — exactly the kind of wave that gets a first attempt to actually stand up.
We cap it at 4-6 students per instructor so you get corrected between waves instead of watching from the beach — the difference between a fun morning and actual progress.
Fifteen-plus years running lessons on this stretch of coast means we've seen every mood this beach has — and we adjust the lesson plan to match, not the other way around.
Home base is the Nelayan stretch, and depending on conditions we'll walk you to Berawa, Echo Beach, Pererenan or Batu Bolong instead.
Notes from riders who've spent a session on the Canggu sandbanks with us.
“Was staying in Berawa for a month and did three group sessions here — you can tell the coaches actually live and surf this stretch, they read the sandbanks better than any school I've used elsewhere in Bali.”
“Private lesson turned into a proper coaching session — footage review, tips on my paddle timing, the works. Worth every rupiah for how fast it moved my surfing along.”
“My sister and I did a semi-private near Echo Beach and loved that it never felt like a tourist assembly line — small group, real conversation with the instructor, genuinely fun morning.”
What people usually ask before booking a Canggu session.
Zero — most people who book a Canggu session with us have never stood on a board. Coaches start you on dry sand with pop-up drills, then walk you into the shallow whitewater together for real attempts, all within the same lesson.
Board, rash guard and your instructor's full attention are covered — just bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and a towel. Nothing extra to hire, and the session runs a full 2 hours.
We run sessions daily between 6 AM and 6 PM. The wind on the Canggu beach breaks usually stays glassiest early morning and again close to sunset, so that's typically where we'll slot your booking.
Rp 400.000 per person for the group format, Rp 500.000 semi-private, Rp 650.000 for a fully private session — board and instructor included in all three. Drop us a WhatsApp to check today's availability.
WhatsApp is fastest — send your date, group size and level and we'll confirm within minutes, then meet you at whichever Canggu sandbank is working that day with the gear already loaded.
